Stockholm and London, 10th September 2026 – Accedo, a global provider of streaming software and services and BytePlus, the enterprise technology services arm of ByteDance, have announced a technology partnership. The collaboration brings BytePlus's broader AI portfolio, from personalization to generative video technology, into Accedo's media platform, helping streaming operators tackle everything from content discovery to content creation.
The partnership spans three parts of that portfolio: BytePlus's personalization and recommendation technology; its fast-growing generative AI solutions for video and image creation, including Dreamina Seedance and Dola Seedream; and ModelArk, the AI infrastructure platform that runs and scales all of it. Together, they give Accedo's clients, including pay-TV operators, sports organizations, publishers and content owners, a single route to some of the most closely watched AI technology in consumer tech today.
Rather than treating any of it as a bolt-on experiment, Accedo can integrate these capabilities natively into its own solutions, backed by more than two decades of streaming delivery experience and a client base of over 400 media companies globally.
Use cases include personalized content discovery to counter decision fatigue caused by growing catalogues and a crowded field of streaming services, helping viewers find something to watch faster, turning browsing time back into watching time. This helps video providers increase engagement and lower churn. Using BytePlus’ AI creation technology, video companies are able to quickly produce trailers, promos, localized versions and ad creative faster and at lower cost.
Fredrik Andersson, Co-founder & SVP Business Development, Accedo, commented: “Our clients are managing more content, more formats and more marketing demands than ever, and they're looking for AI that actually moves the needle across the entire business. BytePlus brings real depth: proven personalization technology, generative AI tools like Dreamina Seedance that are setting the pace in the industry right now, and ModelArk underneath it all to run that at production scale. Bringing that full portfolio into our platform means our clients get access to world class AI technology.”
Ravi Rabheru, Global AI Partnerships and Ecosystem Director, BytePlus, added: “Having spent two decades earning the trust of media and entertainment companies around the world, Accedo’s client relationships and platform depth stood out. This partnership combines our tools and expertise with Accedo’s expert knowledge of the media and entertainment industry, where AI can really make a massive difference to the entire workflow. We're excited about what we can build together.”
Accedo will be exhibiting at IBC from 11th – 14th September (Booth 5.D76). Find out more or book a meeting.
